Finally a string turber that works on everything. Be it 6 acoustic, electric, 12 string...it doesn't matter. This turner works on them all and leaves no damage. Perfect!

Handy tool

Nice idea. Very well made, handy tool. It will cover 90% of your repairs & setups. The reason it didn't get 5 stars is it needs a small slotted & phillips screw driver heads. But it did eliminate a lot of tools in my tech box.

The Octopus is outstanding for working on tuners

I recently bought a MusicNomad The Octopus 17-in-1 Tech Tool mainly to replace the tuners on a Custom Classic Strat. I needed a tool that could get the nut on the top off, which required a deep socket. I didn't know what size it was and didn't want to run a guitar over to a tool store so I took a chance that one of the hex sockets on the handle would work. The socket on the end read more of the handle was the ticket and it also worked on the locked up Grover on my 1979 Hamer Sunburst that I worked on today. On the Sunburst I used The Octopus to take the broken tuner out and take it apart and try to see if I could fix it. The worm gear was stripped so I've got to get a new tuner, but throughout The Octopus just let me fly through all those steps. The ballistic nylon handle didn't mark the metal. It really proved itself to me and I endorse it.
