Great Up-Front Pedal.

Rob W

I have an NS-2 that works great in the effects loop behind the amp, not so great on the pedalboard in front of the amp. Since most of my amps don't have an effects loop, I needed something than can do the job out front. Enter the Silencer. It does an awesome job of hushing my P90s and most of my pedals. The only con is that it needs to be tweaked if I'm changing drive pedals mid-set. read more 5 stars for being the best at this price point and beyond. (Btw, I haven't tried it in the effects loop because my NS-2 lives there now).

Are you tired of not hearing the sweet sound of silence? Do you consider yourself a hummer, yet are sick of the hum? Have you ever dreamt of silencing your oppressors but lacked the power to do so? Fret no more, or fret all you like; but how ever you fret, fret in peace! Reacquaint yourself with the power of nothing but with the confidence of everything. Punish those unwanted read more vibrations and take charge of a whole new level of serenity. The Electro Harmonix Silencer, mighty as nuclear fission with the peaceful tranquility of yoga in a nice and tidy little black box.

Silencer Is Silent!

I had other noise reduction devices and ended up disappointed every time. The Silencer, does exactly what it says it's going to do and it does it... I have one on my bass rig and I'm buying another for my guitar rig!

Perfection!

Does exactly what I need. My pedal board has 12 pedals with 3 overdrives running on a cheap amazon power supply. Stacking pedals can get pretty noisy and this pedal is perfect for my needs. I can engage all my pedals including my amp's distortion channel and it sounds like a tornado coming through until engaging the Silencer. Not even a hiss is coming through now unless I want it read more to. I am running wah, acoustic simulator, compression, blues driver, ds1 distortion, metal zone, into Silencer input. Silencer send to amp input. Amp effects send to Silencer return. Silencer Send to phaser, tremolo, delay, looper, killswitch to amp return. I spent a lot of time figuring out the right way to use the Silencer in my configuration and it works. (Probably putting the metal zone back in the effects loop lol)
