Stands the Test of Time
I have owned the Eventide Timefactor for 3 years now....unlike most pedals i use...it is still the delay pedal i use the most for complex clean and ambient guitar sounds...the sound quality is just so good. There really is nothing you can't do with this pedal, with the exception of making it sound like an analog delay pedal, which is why i have a pair of Boss DM-2w's for stereo… read more analog delay, a Carbon Copy, and a Digitech Obscura. I mostly use the analog gear for short delays with lots of overdrive. For most everything else...there is the stereoTimefactor....it also pairs well with my Strymon Timeline...another delay i really like but it does not have quite the headroom sound quality the Eventide unit has. You will not regret this purchase! And the H9 librarian software is easy to use...don't let the bad reviews about that software sway you....the interface is just like the front panel of the pedal...you just need to take the time to learn all the possibilities of your device...like anything else...enjoy.
Awesome
I recently purchased this with the pitchfactor and they are a great combination together. I have been searching for a pedal that can handle the hot signal (+4 loop) from my Soldano SLO 100 and still sound correct, well this pedal definitely delivers. Every thing sounds the way it should. I have been searching for many many years for a delay that can handle the ouput on my SLO loop… read more and still retain the sound quality it should. Well the search is over, everything comes through crystal clear on overdrive channel. I have been searching for over 10 years now and have owned TC Electronic G Force, G-system, flashback, Boss and Digitech just to name a few and this one out shines them all, not even close. Thank you Sweetwater (David Hess) and Eventide for making such a great product.
Great Multi-Delay Pedal
I own many delay pedals analog and digital including a Line-6 DL4 modeler but the Eventide Time Factor does everything and more that they do with the exception of the Catlinbread Echorec that has some sounds that I have not been able to achive with any other pedal, so I keep both of these on my main pedalboard. As far as powering the pedal I use a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 using… read more channels 5 & 6 and the proper adapter cables.
Eventide
The TimeFactor is a awesome delay effect. I was interested in this company because of Steve Vai uses the Eventide Harmonizer. What is very cool you can delay the signal with 2 delays . It is great for volume swells but the multi tap delay is my favorite setting. THe Timefactor is very clean and crisp. This is worth having as apart of your rig.
Eventide Monster delay
I have owned this pedal for 3 years now and every review pretty much covers the wide flexibility of this stomp box its simply a great straight up delay out of the box and so much more if you spend a lot of time discovering the immense complex rhythmic soundscapes you can create I even pair it with a boss digital delay to add a triple this insane delay for extra spacey love. … read more Someone pointed out the one thing that bothered them was the limited ability to add it to an effects power box and to that end being an electrician it was easy for me to come up with a simple safe way by incorporating with a 120V feed thru from my power source, I made a short extension cord to add the power adapter that comes with the pedal and then using Velcro straps supported it to my floor rack, all nice and neat and very secure, Since I have not had the time to delve into the programming I am looking forward to doing that in the very near future. I am sure my wife will be wondering if I will ever come back to earth. Also great thanks to Josh from SW who turned me on to some great pedals and this one is the center piece of my effects loop lineup
