Titan for the win

I recently replaced the Dimarzio Deactivator pickups in my Ibanez RG2550Z Prestige with the Dimarzio Titan Bridge and Neck pickups. While I still like the sound of the Deactivators, the Titans sound much better (in my opinion). The lows are tighter and the highs are more rich and not as pointy and harsh as the Deactivators. The Deactivators seemed to have an added fuzz or distortion read more in the high-mid and lower treble frequencies. The Titans have much crisper highs. Combined with a tighter low end, these pickups give you all the clarity you (and I) read about in other reviews and forums. And if you're worried about the output (470 in the Deactivator bridge vs 418 in the Titan bridge), fear not. The combination of the pickups EQ and output mv results in a full, balanced tone that gives the amp everything it needs to deliver I killer metal tone (e.g. Periphery) or any other tone you may want to tap into. Playing through my Mesa Dual Rectifier and Mesa 4x12 cab, I can hear every note I play so much more clearly, even in a room with bad acoustics and a loud drum kit filling that room up with sound. Bottom line, there's a reason Jake Bowen's guitar pops in the dense mix of Periphery's live shows. And that reason is the Titan.

I bought this pickup for a standard tuned prs se the opeth model. Sounds nice and crisp even in standard tuning....very punch and mid range dominate. If your looking at this pickup and you play metal i think you'll like it.
