Killer Case

Mike

I had to fly one of my prize strats last month so I purchased this case because I knew the guitar would have to be checked. I was very impressed with the quality when it arrived - fit was perfect inside - all of the latches were strong and easy to work with. Performed like a champ and my baby made it round trip safe and sound. Love it!

This is a great case

Great case. I have no doubts this thing will protect my guitar from head-on collisions, ape tossing, or any other would be mishap. It's a really nice case. It is heavy compared to your standard case, but not as heavy as many of the traditional "tour case" cases. It's not cheap in any sense, but if you want a good looking way to protect your guitar, this is a good choice. If I could read more guarantee everybody had the same respect for my investment, I would have gone with really nice wood case, but I thought the extra dollars were worth it. I'm glad I made the purchase.

Great case, but perhaps overkill for me

Take what I have to say with a grain of salt, because I'm not your typical guitar player. In fact, I'm new to stringed instruments (if you don't count piano), and I just turned 67 as well. My thinking was that I didn't want to have to have multiple cases, one for long-distance travel and a lighter-weight one for local jaunts, so I opted for the more expensive one that might serve read more both purposes. This case is built like a brick... house. I wouldn't test it by submerging it in the bathtub, but it has that tight feel to it. It holds my Strat snugly, and it has one space that perfectly fits my wah pedal, and another in which I can put both a strap and a bag (there are no compartment covers) of small parts. You do have to remove your tremolo lever, and I'm not sure parts like that wouldn't float around without securing them in a bag or wrapping them with a cloth. There are TSA locks, and it comes with wheels for rolling it. The wheels are really necessary--especially for me--because this thing is quite heavy. As for negatives, unless your accessories add sufficient weight to the the neck end, since the main handle is right in the middle, it will be heavy on the body end and feel a bit awkward when carrying it. I doubt that will be a problem for most, though. There is another handle on the end opposite the wheels, which is the one I would be using most of the time, anyway. I haven't taken my Strat out of the house yet, but when I do, for local travel, I may get a lighter case. I've got a gig bag, but I'm not sure that will provide sufficient protection. Bottom line, this is a really well-built case if you need something to protect your instrument from the gorillas at the airport, but it is probably a bit much for the casual musician.

WHEN I RECIEVED MY FIRST GATOR TITAN WATERPROOF CASE I KNEW I MADE THE BEST CHOICE. I WAS SO SATISFIED I ORDERED 3 MORE TO PROTECTMY GUITARS WHEN I TRAVEL. JUST SO HARD TO GET WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS. MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT UP TO 6 WEEKS BEFORE DELIVERY. AND THATS A PROBLEM . THEY CLAIM IN STOCK, THEN THE WAIT GAME

Works Great

The case is very tough and I was able to use the extra compartment areas for my cords and straps.
