Instant Surf - cowabunga dude!
Short of a time machine to 1963 this is a close as you can get to the original surf sounds. I play a Vintera Start and Jaguar into a Champ 40, but skip all the modeling options on the amp and only use this pedal - it really captures the surf sound !
Topanga drip + tremolo
This pedal makes it sound like you're playing under a very large overpass bridge (reverb) and the ground is entirely made of contoured concrete (tremolo). Has all the drip of the OG Topanga (which I sold to buy this) plus a Tremolo (knob controls RATE, DEPTH is fixed). I personally like it wet (turn up DWELL) with just a little trem.
From Topanga Canyon to Burnside Skatepark, Portland, Oregon... the Most Excellent Surf Tones!
Simply put, a very good spring-emulation reverb with a tremolo... like a wave of mutilation in search of Animal Chin... a new reason for me to explore cleaner tones with only this limited edition pedal between my guitar and amp... ready to rip past Twin Peaks down Snoqualmie Falls.
Wild sounds with trem knob addition
While the most practical sound out of this hot pink box is the spring reverb you can choose to make sounds never before heard on the planet by engaging the trem knob. Must say I have never heard this unique effect before. The tremolo sets in at the end of your chords hold. Taking your sounds from solid to rippled. Fully engaged alongside the mix knob and dwell creates a spaced out… read more sound!
