Great sounding tube amp

Love this amp. At first I was worried but after a few days playing with it I was very pleased. I mainly bought it to replace a Fender tube amp with tremolo I didn't like. After researching tube amps. This Orange was the obvious choice for my sound. It's not as crispy as the Fender tube amp which is perfect for me. Just like my previous amp there wasn't midrange control but I had read more a pedal that already addressed this and it works perfect for that. As for tremolo I love the two settings and have foot switch to momentary for a quick speed up like a Leslie. It's also a great pedal amp and includes an effect loop. Something I wished my previous amp had. Another small issue is the placement of the amp plate and logo blocks the upper part of the speaker limiting mic placement.

I was looking for clean and I found it.

I needed an amp that could do a wonderful straight up clean with ample headroom as a companion for my AC-15c2 in a dual mono role. Orange amps usually aren't know for clean tones, but the Tremlord 30 can do clean in spades. It so far takes all my pedals (mostly delay, modulation and reverb) very well and the spring reverb built in has a nice flavor to it. It's springy, but not read more as splashy as a fender when set below 12 o'clock. The tremolo has nice overtones and to my ear sounds more rich than my AC-15 which was a little surprising to me. The bedroom and headroom switch combined with the half power switch offers a lot of options on just how loud you want to get. I tend to run it on the 15w setting, but at full power she's loud enough to rattle some teeth. I have a minor complaint though the speaker was a bit bass heavy when running humbuckers for the 1st 5 hours of playing, but that has chilled out a bit over the last week of playing. Other than that it really is a great amp and more than fills my needs.

A fantastic clean tone amplifier. I was looking for a nice tube combo for home and this amp is perfect. The various watts come in handy if you need to keep the volume down or use it for some insanely loud and crisp cleans. The reverb and trem are extremely lush. Because of the cleans this amp is a great platform for many pedals. I added a boss metalcore for the gains and it read more does not disappoint. Yes this amp can chug. The amp overdrive itself when you crank the volume is exceptional, perfect for those 70's rock tones. Perfect for my home jamming purposes. Gig-worthy and tone for days. You won't be disappointed. Thanks to my Sweetwater guy Andrew Plassman for throwing in a lead cable with this purchase.

Sounds as good as a Deluxe Reverb (better at low volumes) and LOVES pedals.

This amplifier came up when I was deciding between a Princeton Reverb, Supersonic, or something similar with clean headroom and superb cleans. I don't want or need a gain channel -- if I need some, there's a pedal for that. I am surprised that I enjoy the glassy highs of this amp more than the Fenders, primarily because I don't have to roll off the treble on my guitars to avoid read more those piercing overtones. The bedroom mode is convenient, but not really necessary. (The full power mode at low volumes sounds just as good to my ear.) The reverb has a pure tube and spring circuit, and it is evident in the sound. I haven't even played with the two tremolo settings, but just adding some slow trem is pleasing. The attack knob is responsive -- and it's impossible to find a bad sound at any clock setting. The BASS this amp produces is a difference maker, and my theory for why Orange went with the Lavoce speaker. None of that is really surprising. What is surprising is how incredible this amp is for my acoustic guitars. Even my beginner Ibanez acoustic has a whole new voice through the Tremlord. I think it is underrated for this purpose! The cleans are sparkly and perfectly suited for acoustic guitar. The bass and mids really push. I can't describe it... find some reviews online or listen in person. I wanted a clean amp that could handle my pedals well. This amp hit those requirements. It has an amazing crystal clean chime and when used with a Tube Screamer or OCD pedal can achieve a powerful crunch. I live overseas In Asia, so an amp that can move between 110/220 fairly easily without the use of a step up or step down transformer which in my experience adds buzz and interference read more was a must. My only negative on this amp is that it is only available in a 30 watt option. I personally would have preferred a smaller and lighter 15 watt option for my bands small club gigs. I know I could have gone with the Rocker 15 in this case, but the clean chime was so fantastic that I was ok going with the larger amp and just using the power setting at 15 watts. Thanks to my Sweetwater Sales Rep Alex Campos for the recommendation. You were spot on with this one!
