The Godin / Seagull Tric guitar case is as light as a gig bag with better protection than many hard cases. I would not use it as a travel / airlines check in case, but for local gigsā€¦it is an excellent piece of equipment! If you do try to carry it onto a plane, you may find that it may not fit into smaller overhead compartments as it is fairly large in relationship to the size read more of the guitar it is designed to protect. Overall an excellent piece of inexpensive equipment!

The Seagull Coastline Momentum Concert Hall slips in and stays snug. I was pleasantly surprised to find the interior plush lined; some reviews compare it to a styrofoam cup...not so. I have owned SKB, Gator and Kases brand soft cases and this is just as good or better. Listen to your Sales Engineer (Reid Bright) and not the countless blogs and reviews with catch phrases such as read more "price point" and "knocked this one out of the park." I would not slip a high gloss guitar into a case unless it was well matched.

The ONLY thing I'm not super impressed with about this case is the Velcro handles, they're a little hard to use. I'd rather just hold both handles together in my hand, so I do. I bought this case because my Breedlove guitar came with a gig bag. This ain't no gig bag. This is a case, that has it's own bag attached. Saw somebody complaining about the zippers. To me the zippers read more are great compared to having to diddle around with little clasps on all sides of the guitar. I love all the storage, inside and out. Best case I've ever had. Foam will protect guitar from bumps, fabric inside well placed to protect the guitar from anything the foam might do to it. I couldn't ask for a better case. Just the other day I bought a brand new Martin, I didn't take the case, I'm getting one of these in the dreadnaught size.

I love this case. I think the styrofoam structure provides just as much protection as any hardshell case I have bought. (if not more - the styrofoam will probably absorb alot more impact than a hardshell case - after all helmets are made of this stuff) It's also much lighter than my other hardshell cases. The size is a little on the bulky side, but it's not nearly as long as most read more hardshell cases. I bought the folk size in the hopes that it would be a perfect fit for my Lapatrie Etude classical guitar (Both being made by Godin). The order was a little bit of a gamble as I didn't know the exact dimensions of the case. But it was a perfect snug fit! It's got all the storage a case would have on the inside, and all the storage a gig bag would have on the outside - it's kind of the best of both worlds. I would definitely recommend this particular size to other classical guitarists because I think it would probably be a good fit for most classical guitars. I probably wouldn't choose this case for heavy gigging or touring.....it's probably best suited for moderate travel and home storage but Godin products have never let me down and I'd probably be surprised what this thing could stand up to.Oh Yeah - Thanks Bart Good.
