If you are looking for some simple down home cooking for your amp, give the Turnip Greens a try.

I am a minimalist and like the allure of the one guitar, one amp, one pedal rig. This might be cheating but this pedal completes my trio. I like this pedal. I use a fender 5f1 Champ clone, so one volume knob and no gain control and no reverb. Even though I love this amp, I have been looking for a good bluesy overdrive and a reverb pedal. This is a good option for someone who read more likes the Klon sound and does not want to fuss with a pedal board. The controls are simple, and the pedal does what it says it does. I love the thick clean tone I get out of my amp, and while the Champ sounds good dirty, I can't stand to be in the same room with it when it is cranked past 7. The Soul Food sounds great as my main source of dirt and as a clean boost. (It also sounds good boosting the amp when dirty but I have to be in the other room.) The ability to add some reverb finishes the job. If you are looking for a one pedal rig for blues tone this might be what you are looking for. As always Sweetwater did great job getting this to me.
