Hole was too small for all of my pedals

My friend gave me a cheap plastic cap that worked very well. I was curious to see what these more expensive Barefoot metal caps were like. But this V2 cap fit none of my various pedals or footswitches. I have a Wampler pedal that's similar to the one in the picture showing this cap attached to it. I also have pedals and footswitches from many other major manufacturers including… read more MXR, TC Electronic, Carl Martin, Fulltone, Pigtronic,Vox, and others, but this cap didn't fit any of them. I measure my switches to have an approximate 9 mm diameter. This V2 cap is allegedly 8.5mm diameter. I thought my pedals would be within the margin of error, especially given that the V1 cap is meant for much larger 11.1mm diameter switches. I'm wondering if I got a bad one. I'm returning it, and I emailed the manufacturer about my issue.
