I purchased my Rivera Venus Deux Rec amp, the 55 watt/15 watt version, from Sweetwater, 2 1/2 years ago. This amp is an excellent amp. I mainly play at home-using the 15 watt setting. I agree that this amp may be the best combo amp, on the market, for the money- in addition to the many features it offers, I love the tone of this amp. The amount of features alone sets this amp apart. The clean is gorgeous and the reverb sounds insane. Blows away the reverb on my other amp. This is the ultimate pedal setup, which is what I needed. If you want an amp to take your pedals better than any this is your go to. I can even get sick metal tones out of this with a few overdrive pedals. Does all the genres. Plenty of volume… read more even on the low watt setting. I use a JHS little black box attenuator even on the low wattage setting because this bad boy blows the roof off the place.
