Best Telecaster Pickups
After trying several different pickups, a few months ago I purchased a set of the Vintera '50s Vintage Telecaster pickups . The clarity and range of tones were unsurpassed. The neck pickup delivers a bold jazz tone while the bridge pickup gives the iconic fender bright, sharp sound. I liked these pickups enough to purchase a second set for another telecaster. The first guitar has an ash body, and the second guitar has an alder body. Not surprisingly, the tone of the two guitars is very different. Both are exceptional. My only complaint is that the neck pickup lead wire should be a little longer to facilitate soldering to the control switch for a body where the wire runs through the bridge cavity to the control cavity.

The term "bite" is thrown around quite a bit when it comes to the Telecaster. "They have that 'bite' you're looking for." Well, this set has it. I installed these in my Player Telecaster and what I heard afterward was just the tone I wanted, no more, no less. If you're looking to play the real stuff, you'll be more than happy. These are hat and cattle quality.
