Not boxy at all !!
This little amp has no boxy sound at all. All selections are spot on. Really glad I got it.
Cool little amp
The first thing I'll point out is the power supply that it came with sucks. Super noisy hum. But I didn't care because I bought this because it IS power by 12v. I use it as a traveling amp. It's so lightweight and I can plug it into the 12v system in my Suburban/camper or a small 12v rechargeable battery I have Velcro'ed to the back. On battery power it is really quiet. The amp… read more itself is what you expect.. a good wide range of sounds and effects to have some fun with. I've had some really good musicians jam with it in some living room settings and comment that it's pretty darn good. So for the price you really can't go wrong. I would think you could find a better 12v plug in supply though.
Nice amp at an affordable price.
Easy to use, sounds good, and lots of model amp effects to choose from.
Perfect little practice amp !!!!
Perfect little practice amp and even in a small Jam session its awesome. Finding all the sounds and tones are fun to play with and then when you find the perfect sound....hours have gone by and you have had a blast. Tuner is meh!.... The price is killer for what this delivers...have a ball and play till your fingers are sore....Rock ON!
Great Practice Amp
I have several amps but needed something I could use at home, at night, that would give good tone with low volume levels. What I love about the amp: The simplicity and tone. I have owned 3 modeling amps over the years and these are two areas that they seem to fall short. This one has a simple knob interface, no menu-ing and patch management which can make modeling amps too complex… read more and lead to paralysis. This also has the best tone I've heard in a modeling amp. The two stage tube emulation is great. A few years ago I had the VOX DA5 for quieter practice but the power input on the circuit board eventually failed. I was looking for a similar replacement and this fit the bill. It has improvements over the DA5 in that it accepts a foot switch and allows switching between two to five presents depending on the model of the pedal. This won't be loud enough for practicing with a drummer or competing with a PA but for bedroom practice or recording you won't be disappointed. I'm very pleased with this Amp /
