Okay, Here's the back story. I bought a fantastic Ibanez open pore mahogany acoustic from Sweetwater back in June for my birthday. Loved it then, love it now. It was, and in many ways, still is my favorite guitar. (I say that about all my guitars. Jealousy in the guitar stable is just not pretty.) I think my review on the Ibanez is still posted. But I digress. So last Sunday I read more was meeting a guy in Columbia City to buy a drop spreader that I had found on FBM. I had not been to Sweetwater since the pandemic started. Yep. I am fortunate enough to live about twenty miles from Sweetwater. So knowing I would be driving by SW I knew I had to stop and visit In order to break my SW visit drought. So I previewed guitars online. I narrowed it down to three guitars I would be interested in checking out. One was a Guild sloped shoulder, one was a Yamaha with rosewood back and sides, and the last was the Washburn Bella Tono Elegante S24S. I was fascinated by its appearance and unique studio body shape. When I stopped at Sweetwater on Sunday, guess which one of the three was hanging on the wall? One strum of the Elegante's strings and I fell in love. Never in my sixty two years has a guitar affected me that way, And I have played a ton of guitars in my day. From it's absolutely breathtaking ebony fingerboard inlays to its amazing pau ferro back and sides, the craftsmanship and attention to amazing detail and appointments are strikingly apparent. If you are a finger picker, it's you are a strummer, if you love guitars you have got to check this little gem out sooner than later. It has amazing sustain and tone. The lows are there but not as strong or prominent as the minds and highs. It chimes, it sings, it is amazing. I made the purchase laste evening on 10-6 and Got it yesterday 10-8. I could not stop playing it. My wife agreed it was a work of art as well as an outstanding guitar. Oh, I never bothered to call up the other two guitars. I am sure they are great also. So the Washburn is now front and center in my living room. The Ibanez is now bedside. The rest of the gang resides in my guitar room. What! You are still reading this? I thought you would all already be online looking at this guitar. Be fearless in ordering it online. You will not be disappointed. I am surprised this might be the first review on this guitar. If so, there's no way it will be the last. Let's make the website say "not in stock, more are on the way. "Run, don't walk, and order yours today.
