These EVH Wolfgang Pickups are perfect for my EVH Wolfgang Guitar, and most likely many others. They look great and performed with the clarity and performance I was looking for over the stock Korean pickups I had in it before, not muddy even on the Bridge pickup! Joe Shaban

The video below is a tune that gives you a good idea how it sounds through a cranked Plexi type amp. No pedals, just straight in. The Alnico II pickup has enough drive and bite, but not harsh at all!! Buy this pickup and add it to your arsenal. It has it's place!!

I bought this a few years ago, and glad I hung on to it. Having finally gotten an old Marshall plexi type amp, I realized over many demos, that Alnico II magnets sound best through it when cranked up. So... I dug this out of the bin of pickups, popped her in and BLAM!!! One of the best sounds yet! Great bite, great overtones, great output, great definition that sustains out into… read more a solid sweet roar.. I alternate pick quite a bit, and this delivers. Legato? No Problem. The Alnico II magnets and the wind are a masterstroke for this type of sound. Yep, still sound like me. Through a pushed tube amp, this pickup cuts through with smooth vintage like vibe. Less harsh than Alnico 5 and definitely ceramic.
