Feel and tone
I love these strings. I am used to 12 and 13 ga. in various brands. I used them because, this is what I have always used.. for 30 years.. it was just what I knew to be good strings. Good utility everyday strings.. Since using the 11 XT.. I have played more, sounded better and have played better! The change did take a couple hours of playing to get used to, but I will never go back..… read more I am an 11 Ga. believer now and I will remain such for possibly another 30 years! My Martin HD 28 sings and has a new chime... I am sold.... A fanboy if you wish, I am not ashamed! try them!
These strings are awesome!
I suppose these XT strings have been on the market for over a year by now, but I made a temporary switch to Ernie Balls for acoustic strings during that time. That being said, these kick some butt. I eventually quit using D'addario EXP strings because of the coated feeling, but these strike a nice balance in feel and sound between those EXP strings and the uncoated Ernie Balls (which… read more sound and feel authentic af and awesome, but wear out insanely fast). If you haven't given these a try, they're definitely worth buying at least a pack! They're different enough from Elixirs and the old D'addario EXP's to warrant giving a shot, in my opinion.
