D'Addario always gets it right... mostly
I have been using D'Addario strings exclusively on all of my electric, acoustic, and classical guitars for more than twenty years. I used to experiment with other string manufacturers for these instruments, but that can get costly and it is time consuming. The XT series came as a sudden surprise to me since I wasn't in-the-know that D'Addario was discontinuing their EXP series of… read more strings. I was skeptical, but realized my choices in looking for a replacement would start with D'Addario anyway. These are a great string! If you have found yourself in this same "surprise" of no longer being able to purchase EXP's I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Yes, there is a higher price-point, but the tone you expect is there and when I think of the resources of raw material that will be conserved over time due to the life of these strings... they are the perfect choice for me. I say mostly, because I am also an electric and double bassist... for which I choose other manufacturers for, but that's not to say D'Addario doesn't make a good bass string... Happy playing!
Great playability
Only strings I use on my electric guitars. They last and they sound great. The action and playability is perfect for my playing ability.
