Great bass!
I bought this about 1 month ago and love it. I did a lot of research before buying it and I have no regrets. It is very playable. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I also purchased the Tech21 bass amp and the two make an excellent pair. The variety of tones possible is quite impressive.
A Fine Instrument
I love it. I call it " The Black Pearl". I have trouble putting it down. This bass presents no bar to my 20 year dormant chops returning. The notes are clear. The neck is securely bolted to the body and is going nowhere. It has a narrow D shape and is smooth for sliding up and down. Its exactly as Billy describes it, and perfectly suited to play as he does. Feels as hard as marble.… read more No excuses: this bass is not the problem. Neck heavy, but when it dips there's access to the higher frets. Tones are bassy to trebly, and everything in between. I installed a clear PB1V2 Zero Mod thumbrest (Yes, it fits perfectly. You're welcome). I was playing "Orion" and the thought crossed my mind to have a cup of ☕, an hour later I had to force myself to bring the Black Pearl into port. I'm glad I bought it. Nothing but smooth sailing ahead.
