Fantastic Guitar

Got this for my friend who was interested in learning. Once he took it out of the excellent packaging he immediately fell in love with it. Super light weight with a great finish. Plays and sounds great. Would definitely recommend this guitar for anyone interested in a classical style.

Very good entrypoint for beginners!

I like this particular guitar for two reasons: its popularity and its pricing. I know that the C40 has been very popular even 4-5 years back. Having played with it for roughly a week and I can attest that it is a well constructed instrument, specifically designed to encourage beginners on their learning path. For example, the neck is sanded so that your hand can glide effortlessly read more up and down while playing. The sound is clear and warm. It obviously cannot compete with other guitars that cost $750 or more -- you get what you pay for and frankly a beginner should have no businesses around those more expensive guitars anyway. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful gift for those who are starting out.

Great service!

We received the guitar in short order (two days after order was placed) in perfect condition with a follow-up call to ask about our experience. I'd highly recommend this business!

Yamaha C40II Full Scale-Excellent Choice

Bought thos for my son who played classical guitar in high school and who is legally blind. Though he's been playing piano as of late I know he still loves the guitar. So I bought him the Yamaha C40II classical nylon string guitar. I'm not a guitar player but drummer but been around lots of guitars. But I can play a few simple chords, so I know what a good and bad guitar sounds read more & looks like construction wise. This guy is excellent to start off with, it's a full scale so if you have small or petite hands I suggest you move down to 3/4 scale. But as a quick note Sweetwater nailed it on delivering on time before Christmas. I know it was a challenge for them and all delivery services. Packaged very well, guitar came in it's own cardboard box then packed in a 2nd shipping box, bubble wrap on the bottom, side and top, so the inner box didnt move. No damage at all. The guitar looks beautiful, the maple top and side and back woods which are different give it a beauty all it's own on contrast. I did inspect the whole guitar and did not see any damage or poor workmanship. Seams, joints, bridge, neck, fretboard and tuners all looked solid. I strummed it a few times and just had to tune a few strings slightly and it was ready to play. So as a starter or beginners guitar. I see nothing wrong with guitar. Looks good, sounds good and atleast in my hands which are not huge or with lots of chordial dexterity, I was able to strum a few chords easily. My son loved it when he opened the box on Christmas and is ready to go practice. For the price I don't see how I could of bought anything better. Thank you again Sweetwater for pointing me to the right direction.
