My 13 year old grandson is about to graduate from baritone uke to parlor guitar. We bought him a Yamaha SCF1M which we'll give him at Christmas. I was a little concerned ordering a guitar online without the opportunity to play it first as well as the issue of possible damage in shipping. Pulls it's weight well beyond the modest price point. Excellent construction and extremely comfortable neck and body contours. Sweet as a fingerstyle guitar - enough brightness to keep individual notes sparkling but the bracing and back and sides deliver beautiful mids and an overall warmth. Also, a great blues fingerstyle machine! It's a keeper. Terrific quality case as well!

I tried quite a few "smaller" body guitars before selecting this one. I thought it blew away for FS800 and was toe to toe with the GS Mini. I think for the price, WITH electronics and its high quality are the reasons why I chose this over the GS mini and FS800. I highly recommend this guitar!
