Visually impressive for the price. Tone and volume is unbelievable for this price point. The playability and action is great straight from the box. Highly recommend for any level guitar player.

I couldn't be more happy with the purchase of the Yamaha FG820. The sound is amazing at this price point and having compared it to several guitars in the $ range, I would still chose the Yamaha every time.

Amazing value

I just bought this guitar for my daughter. Problem is, I can't put it down, and I own a Taylor! This guitar has blown me away for the money paid. I wasn't expecting that much. I figured how much can a guitar that only costs a couple hundred bucks really impress me? Well, I can tell you it impressed me greatly. The guitar is quality through and through, and plays and sounds just read more as good as guitars that cost five times as much. The fit and finish are excellent, the playability is very good and the sound is great, as well. Sweetwater did a great job packing the guitar for a safe journey from the midwest to the east coast. All I had to do was unpack the guitar, tune it up to standard tuning and start playing. The guitar has stayed in tune since (which is impressive considering that it made a long cold trip) and is just a pure joy to play. I hope my daughter decides to stick with it and play it a lot, but if she doesn't, guess who's claiming it?!
