Great guitar
I've owned this guitar since September of 2021 and I love it. I am just learning how to play and it is forgiving, sounds great and projects a big, rich sound. I honestly have nothing negative to say about it. It is a great guitar to learn on and it looks gorgeous.
Great playing and sounding guitar
Pleasantly surprised on the looks the playability and sound of my new F850 Yamaha Acoustic guitar. Not to mention the price, a definite keeper.
Absolutely love this guitar!!!
I already knew that Yamaha makes very good instruments regardless of the price point. This is my second Yamaha acoustic guitar with my other being a FS 800. Which is my first guitar I learned on. I've now bee. Playing for around 9 months and I feel as I am progressing every day. With that being said, I ordered my FG 850 in February and unfortunately it was on back order till June.… read more I hesitantly ordered it anyway Nd I am VERY glad I did! My sales engineer from day 1 as been Simon and he has stayed in touch keeping me updated, also along with all the other stuff my girlfriend has fussed me for buying. I finally received this beautiful instrument yesterday afternoon and have been in love with it since I picked it up!! Fresh out of the box, my FG barely needed any tuning and only a slight adjustment on the truss rod to my liking. I now know what people are meaning by saying a "warmer" and "fuller" tone! This Dreadnought sounds absolutely amazing to my ear! A far as playability, it is almost unbelievable to me how easily it is to play yo me. Even with my limited amount of guitar experience and abilities. Barre chords which I've only really started working on in the past month at best is much easier to play to me. Maybe it is a little bit of me actually getting better, but I definitely to believe that's it is the guitar that is most of it. From the moment I picked it up, it has been nearly impossible to put down! I 100% suggest this guitar for so much more than just a first or beginners guitar. This thing would fo great for your #1 go to acoustic for anyone of any skill level, gigging or recording needs!
Nice Guitar
Nice sounding, comfortable guitar to play. Mahogany top sounds different from spruce tops. I've heard it described as "warmer". That said, it is a well made guitar that sounds incredible and the price point is a bonus.
Great alternative to custom guitar
Great sound. Despite having a slightly different sound than Honduran Mahogany the guitar sounds great, and is a good alternative to a custom expensive guitar. I would play this instrument even if I were recording and playing more.
