Great guitar even better value!

Finding the right acoustic can be tricky (especially online) but look no further because this guitar is as good as it gets for this price range. It sounds amazing right out of the box but I recommend getting it set up by a professional. When you have a professional set this guitar up for you this thing will play and sound like it costs thousands of dollars. I played a bunch of guitars read more in the $500 - $600 range and this one beat every one.

I've owned a lot of guitars over the years, many of which I've ordered online from Sweetwater. Until a few years ago, I always favored dreadnaught acoustics, but shoulder problems caused me to look for something affordable in a concert sized body. A couple of years ago, I picked up a PRS SE Angelus A10E here at Sweetwater, which has a wonderful neck for acoustic leads. My search read more this time was for a companion guitar that would be better suited for solo acoustic work. While viewing a demo of the Fishman ToneDEQ, I was impressed with the Yamaha LL6, which led me to discover the FSX830C. The size and body depth are perfect for my needs, and the tone and finish are worthy of a guitar three times as costly. It's definitely a keeper!

Play it all the time

08/06/2018. Owned it around 4-5 months now. I have other nice guitars but wanted a short (25") scale spruce and rosewood with cut-away and acoustic electric. This fills that very sufficiently. This was suppose to be a practice guitar that I could kick around a little. This turned to be my main gigging acoustic electric. Sounds great unplugged and plugged in. Yamaha did something read more right with the ART preamp and the individualized piezo pick up. It is very easy to get a realistic acoustic tone that does not have that piezo quack but still sounds crisp and natural. I plug straight into powered speakers and PA systems and often get compliments on my tone/sound quality from other musicians and non- musicians also. The frets and string height action were not perfect out of the box but I fixed that myself by learning from Youtube videos. Plays great, sounds good like a spruce and rosewood guitar should and does not distort when I strum heavily.
