Rosewood has become unaffordable

James Dingle

The guitar plays & sounds great. I just tried one to compare to my Enos Hernandez Q. Solid Mahogany back & sides, Cedar top, circa 1940"s, My YAMAHA NO.150 NIPPON GAKKI from 1965, solid Rosewood book matched sides & back. I"m sorry but before I ever spent 10K on a YAMAHA that a incredible Luthier will never get credit for, I"d buy a Frank Finnochio or David J. Pace. There"s European read more Double Tops with 300+ year old Cedar tops that are 10K. So it"s a FINE guitar but overpriced due to how hard and wasteful the industry has been on Rosewoods.
