Worth waiting for
I purchased my 56 and because of supply chain and Covid issues I had to wait 5mo. to take delivery (I wasn't charged until the instrument was ready to be delivered). This is one of the finest guitars you can imagine. I own a Taylor 814 and a Breedlove CM and you can argue the differences and your preferences til the cows come home, but without a doubt this guitar is special. Shout out to Sweetwater, they were great to work with.
I had the wrong strings on this guitar
I have more than a few guitars. Only a few high end ones. But I love my 80/20 bronze d'addario medium strings. I've had them on many acoustics. Fantastic strings. I about gave up on this guitar cause it was being choked by those mediums. I put extra lights on my Taylor k24ce. I hated that guitar till I put those extra lights on. That Koa Taylor now sings. I was about sell… read more this guitar as well. Till I put extra lights on it. Wow does did this guitar come to life. It's really tough to put down now. My favorite guitar previously was the Yamaha LL-TA. The mediums are amazing on the LLTA. I wish this guitar had the trans acoustic technology in it. But even without it... it sings like an angel. My wife jumped at how loud this guitar is. Ben worked with me to obtain this cause I have a lot of Yamaha guitars. They make very fine instruments. I love them all.
Superior quality and tone
I tried M guitars I tried T guitars and while they are all great guitars I tried my beautiful Yamaha LL56 and nothing compares, it is absolutely perfect and will be passed down to my son and hopefully his child, this is an heirloom quality guitar with the sound to match, I learned on a Yamaha and I now own their top of the line and will always own Yamaha guitars and you will not… read more be disappointed with them I can assure you, as for Sweetwater they're in the same class.. superior service and quality I was skeptical about ordering such an expensive instrument but Benjamin was fantastic and eased my skepticism
