Yamaha FG3 Western Retro 1966 Guitar
I recently purchased a Yamaha FG3 Western Guitar from Sweetwater. Connor Smith is the sales rep who sent me photos via email of the guitar that was being shipped and followed up for feedback on this guitar after receiving it. Like I told him and am telling anyone interested in this FG3 model it is a great guitar! Has good tone, sustain and the bass rumbles the guitar! It's well… read more made and the hard bag it comes with is top notch! The FG3 has a simple look to it but that is what makes it so cool! Though not a true replica of the 1966 model it's representing that's ok! It's made much better than back in 1966 while retaining the vibe from that era! If you're looking for the sound of a Martin, Gibson, Taylor or some other make then go buy one of those instead! But if you're looking for a all solid wood guitar with a torrified, scalloped braced spruce top that sounds fantastic, plays well and has retro vibe this just might be for you as it was for me! Though being priced lower than the afore mentioned other makes does not make this a cheap guitar by any means! An old saying goes something like this "Music self played is happiness self made" Get happy today!
Incredible Buy
This guitar right out of the box plays and sounds amazing you would never be able to tell this guitar was made in china other than the sticker that says made in china that they hide up in the guitar the quality is absolutely amazing and this thing has great projection and bass and is super loud you barely strum it and its loud just an all around great guitar the soft case is really… read more nice to but i will be buying a hardshell case for it soon just for extra protection while traveling but bottom line all I can say is give it a try you wont be disappointed
