Hands down, awesome guitar

Went shopping for an upgrade to my $300 beginner spruce top Yamaha, which was terrific instrument. Played a set chord progression and picking tune on about 20 guitars priced between $500 and $1000. Selected this one and then compared it against a selection of more expensive Martins and others. No other guitar presented the rich overtones and ease of play as this one. The choice read more was easy. Barre chords on this neck are somehow noticeably easier. I have no idea why. If you're looking for a rich, balanced tone and sustain, this definitely needs to be on your list.

I've tried a Taylor 327e, a Martin Road Series 12. and this FGX3 all under or $2200 (my budget). I also owned a 314ce. All were great guitars. This one sold me simply because it sounds so full and balanced and easy to play. It is a great all around guitar. And it's vintage beautiful. I am enjoying it. Thanks to Greg Baum who was extremely patient with me and who loves to play read more guitar.

I recently purchased the Yamaha FGX3 from Sweetwater and am very pleased. Acoustically, it plays wonderful with a full tone. I did lower the action slightly which I due on most new guitars. I really like the pickup system. The simple controls are very user friendly and comparable to the Taylor Expression System. The blend and EQ knobs can easily dial in the sound needed. The read more finish, wood grain along with the ebony fret board and Gotah tuners are top notch. I have an original Yamaha Red Label Ghakki Mountain FG140 which is well used. Yamaha did a super job in keeping the original concept while adding a few innovations. Well Done!!!
