Incredible, and not just for the price.

Just some guy

First thing I noticed is how solid this guitar feels, just holding it you can feel the quality. That's not to say it's chunky, but just right. This has to be, apart from individual luthiers, the most well-made guitar in China. It has all the same specs as the Japanese made version, but the ebony used might be lower quality. Doesn't look super dense, probably new growth. Well, and read more it has a urea nut and saddle instead of bone, but I easily replaced those, as well as the plastic bridge pins. The tone, it is magic, beautiful singing midrange, get some SIT Royal Bronze for fingerstyle and no pro musician out there will be disappointed with it.It did come with 80/20 Nanowebs, which also sounded amazing, complementing the natural midrange beautifully, but are expensive, and a little stiff. Get the Curt Mangan 80/20 round cores for most playing, use a locking string wrap, no better option out there IMO.And yes, the pickups are as good as they say they are. Really like the function to blend between piezo and mic.

Really great guitar

I'm really happy with this guitar. It still surprises me the quality and sound of Yamaha guitars considering what they cost. I think they compare to the big 3 that charge far more than what this guitar costs. If you are on the fence about buying this guitar, just go for it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I love everything about this guitar. It's a quality instrument at a great price. I had my mind set on a Taylor 214 until I played this guitar. No comparison. The electronics, the solid tonewoods, the feel of the neck, the open gear tuners. I could go on and on. This guitar is perfect for me. It's a keeper. I'm so glad I bought it. Thanks to Matt McKibble for all his help and patience read more with me. Sweetwater is the best.
