Great Bass for Beginnners and Professionals

Seth Gartner

As an intermediate bass player, this bass is very versatile and high quality. I am able to get many different sounds and tones from this instrument for whatever I am playing. This bass is a great one to buy if you are a beginner, and still high quality enough to have as a professional player.

Great bass at a great price!

I have a Fender MIM P-Bass and an Ibanez SR 405, both are great but I had been wanting to get a PJ at a modest price point just in case it turned out to be not what I thought it would be. This bass surprised me on all counts. Fit and finish are great and I really like the look of it. Put on a set of Rotosound strings and performed a full set up, and the results were everything I’d read more hoped. Low and fast action with no buzz or choke, great variety of tones, and a pleasure to play. While billed as an entry level bass, with your strings of choice and a proper set up the quality of this bass exceeds its price point and is a great guitar for beginners and experienced players alike.

i couldn't be any happier with my new entry level electric bass guitar!!! i previously purchased a high mass bass guitar from another music company which was the quadruple amount i payed for & was unhappy with it. even tho with the extra appointments it had it still didn't phase me. though my bass (Yamaha TRBX174EW) which i named "Root Beer" (because of it's color) had the simple read more standard appointments of a traditional bass guitar that does the same job of what an expensive bass guitar can do. kudos to Yamaha, Sweetwater & a special thanks to my "sales engineer" Mr. Frank Gerdts for making it happen for me. this is why i gave it the highest ratings!
