Rivals basses fsr more expensive than itself
The nut length is so small I can easily thumb the A string if I feel like it. its super well made, the wood finish is really well done, the eq responds well in both active/passive, double humbucker, great slap tone, and a whole lot more.If anything I'd really like to emphasize that the nut length is like 1.496" Its so easy to work with the neck yet it aint flimsy at all.Easily rivals… read more basses in the $ rangeI use DR .100-.45 Pure Blues Strings
Love this bass
I'm a first-time buyer and did a lot of research online before deciding on this model. I've had it for a few weeks now and can hardly put it down. I absolutley love this bass. Feels good, sounds good. I'm very happy with it. Would highly recommend.
YAMAHA TRBX504 IS AMAZING!
I'm 71 years old and have been playing guitar for 58 years. I have played acoustic guitar in church worship bands for 19 years and my church recently asked if I would consider playing bass. So, I purchased a Yamaha TRBX504 and couldn't be happier! AMAZING
This bass is amazing! The finish is a soft, almost bare wood, feel which is really nice when moving up and down the neck, and the brick burst color is subtle but also dramatic. I chose this bass because I wanted something to counter my Fender Classic Vibe 70s Squire J bass. I was looking for active/passive switching with double humbucker pickups and a 24 fret neck. The reason I… read more chose the Yamaha 504 over other similar basses was because of the Mahagony and Maple body/neck and Rosewood fretboard. The active/passive ability of the 504 is where this baby really shines. The amount of varying tones you can achieve with the 504 is astonishing. I almost cried when I switched on the active mode for the first time because the sound was so beautiful! I did need to perform a setup as the E and A strings were rattling and the intonation was a little off on the A and D strings. The shipping from Sweetwater was fast and the bass was well packed for travel. Pros: Great finish and color, great wood choices for the body and neck, active/passive switching, loads of tonal choices. Price Cons: ?
