In 2012 a magazine did a column in its"Accessory File",and,tested the Zephyrs. The tester said of the clean even sound,"they're dense sounding when you lay into the strings,or slightly airer when you pick lightly". Zephyrs really do possess more!! of everything;they have a kind of purity. Also Zephyrs silver wire is a big part of he cost as they use about a mile of wire for each… read more pick-up. My other Tele has a set of seymour duncan"Hot for Tele"s,and, the Zephyrs are louder,clearer,and very musical;maybe this is where John 5 and Brent Mason get their tone? The Zephyr Set came with serial#'s SN00033&39 autographed seperatly by each builder. The set came in a presentation walnut box,with a brass name plate as this thing looked every bit like Seymour Duncan's flag-ship for the ages.
