The Standard
I have been using these tuning machines for many years on various guitars and have never wore one out or had one break. One of the best brands you can buy.
Grover
I replace every guitar tuner with Grover. If you want it right? No brains on this call.
Easy install and works great
I replaced my old Grover Tuners with ease and they work perfectly.
Brilliant!
I bought these tuners to replace the stock tuning machines on a 2002 Epiphone Casino. Even though I could have gotten something that would drop in, I chose them because they are what Epiphone puts on the Elitist and the Gary Clark Jr. Blak and Blue Casinos. And you can't argue with the quality. First, I have to say hats off to Sweetwater and their sales team. When I had a problem… read more with the website checkout, they followed up on the phone and made sure that the order got processed correctly, and was shipped out on time. They arrived swiftly and safely days after the order was placed. They also called about two weeks later to make sure everything was okay with my order. First class all the way!! Now then, I got the Grovers and even though I had hopes they would just drop in, unfortunately they wouldn't. So I had to ream out the peg holes in the headstock. Note; If you are uncomfortable with doing this type of work, then I highly recommend that you take your guitar to a professional. The reamer I used wasn't nearly as sharp as I had thought it would be, so the process was more time consuming than I originally planned. One snag I ran into was that as I was removing the original tuners, the screw holes were being stripped out. With some toothpicks and a little wood glue, I was back in the game! The process took me a few hours working very slowly and carefully, but with the tuners finally installed they made a dramatic improvement on the guitar. They hold their tune much better than the stock tuners, and the tuning action is so buttery smooth and much more accurate now. I can't say much more than if you're looking to upgrade your tuning machines, then I highly recommend Grovers. They're well worth the money, and you'll probably want to put them on all your guitars from here on out. After installing them on my Casino, it's like having a whole new guitar again.
