Direct Drop Into My 2011 Gibson LP Studio
The original Gibson Deluxe tuners had become a bit lax after 10 years- My poor baby could not stay in tune, and it was driving me nuts when recording. These trusty OG Grovers fit PERFECTLY without any drilling. Took longer to re-string than it did to install these tuners. Now I can bend these suckers to the moon and still play an E major afterwards without cringing. A+. Would recommend… read more to everyone with an LP.
Solid Tuners
These are the standard in tuning keys. Easy to install and use. They keep my guitar in tune.
Milk Bottle Grover Tuners
Great! I should have changed my tuners earlier. As usual Delvin W. and the team got me the products quickly.
Always the best!
When I was on the road many years ago I started using Grover machines. The are as good today as they were years ago.
Grover tuning machines
The 1st guitar that a made (1976) was due for a 'tune up'. Mahogany back, sides and neck - ebony fingerboard, bridge and peghead verneer. The action needed to be adjusted, the fingerboard needed a deep cleaning and the frets needed leveling. The guitar had a 'many years old scratch' on the peghead that I wanted to fix. I removed the original tuners and decided to replace them, so… read more I turned to Sweetwater. They had some Grover tuners at a great price so I ordered them. Sweetwater has great service and I received them in a couple of days. I also got emails from Kyle during the process, words of encouragement. I completely refinished the peghead on both sides while I had the tuners removed and then installed the Grovers. A very worthwhile upgrade made in part by help and interest from Kyle at Sweetwater. I made a new nut and saddle. The action is now very good. I bought some Martin strings from Sweetwater to finish the upgrade. I highly recommend Sweetwater for any guitar needs. They are interested to help and encourage - and they send along a bag of candy, which is a good enough reason to shop with them.
