New guitar for the price of new tuners
20 years ago I purchased an acoustic guitar with a polycarbonate back. It was value priced at the time and intended as a gift to a daughter who later preferred keyboard for her instrument of choice. It was played alot and stored a lot, so after two decades I noticed the tuners weren't aging well - not holding a reliable string tension.I searched for a replacement and found a Sweetwater… read more option of Grover tuners... The photos of the product were easy to identify the critical features so that I was hopeful the ones I ordered would not require any drilling. Not being being a guitar tech, I figured out how to take off the old ones and in less than an hour I had replaced the old tuners with new Grovers from Sweetwater and realizes I basically had a new guitar, as I hadn't played it in years! I am still surprised a the tone, and am delighted with the results. So for the price of replacement Grover tuners I got my old guitar back in perfect working order.
Rotomatic Tuners
I replaced the friction peg tuners on my baritone ukulele with the Grover 102 Rotomatic tuners. Although not designed for this instrument, I was able to download drawings, which enabled me to determine that they should work. It took about 1 hour to install. Perfect fit. I am pleased with the purchase. I now have 2 spares.
