Excellent tuners, easy upgrade for Gretsch G2622 Streamliner

Upgrade for a Gretsch G2622 Streamliner semi-hollow body. The Grover tuners dropped in without needing any alternations to the Gretsch headstock, everything lined up perfectly. The posts are just a shade bit longer than the Gretsch original tuners but not enough to even matter. The upgrade was super easy and this Grover design makes string changes effortless. I bought a pelham Gibson SG for a friend and it was great except for the stock Grover tuners being 'catchy'. I purchased these locking versions as perfect replacements and in just a few minutes for changing the tuners the guitar was absolutely perfect.

I have never had locking tuners before and wanted to jazz up the old guitar. These are nice tuners and dropped in with no adjustment or drilling on my Yamaha FS-TA. Total maybe 20 minutes total in the replacement as I was taking my time to do it correctly. Stringing the guitar was a breeze, but it took a bit of getting used to not stringing it the normal way. I watched a video or… read more 2 and as I added more strings I got better at it. If you are looking for locking tuners these seem very well made and look good too. I would suggest really looking at what you have currently and unless you want to drill matching the style as much as possible.
