The stock pictures don't do the product justice. I was originally going to go with the tortoiseshell pickguard but for a reason that's way to long to explain, I went with this. I was hesitant at first but as soon as I saw it in person I was like, "yeah, ok, this is pretty cool!) All the screw holes lined up perfectly and there's juuust a touch more room between the guard and the… read more bridge than the old guard that was on it. That is a good thing.

There's not much to say about the quality of the pickguard - all cuts and holes were super clean, back was well-shielded, no scratches or dings from shipping, and that's that. What MUST be said is the color - its criminal that there aren't more beautiful examples of black pearl-guarded Strats out there! Here's the before and after photos. Your welcome. Yeah, they are all classic (literally and stylistically), and I love them too. But it gave me literally CHILLS when I put this black pearl guard on my sunburst Strat. Such a simple, relatively inexpensive little mod, and it made my Fender truly beautiful. Your mileage may vary, but that's the absolute beauty of Fenders - mod them to your heart's content!!!

I selected and received my new pickguard for my Squier strat and it was drilled corretly. All eleven screws lined up and installation was relatively easy once strings are removed.
