Flawed, but still good

I just got my hands on this a little under two hours ago and as I was installing it I realized that its size wasn't perfectly matched to the black pickguard I was replacing on my Vintera Roadworn Telecaster. There is a spot to the left of the pickup where the pickguard lifts off the face of the guitar because of this. To address this, Fender drilled two extra holes, one to the left… read more of the pickup and one to the right. I don't know why but this bothers me, especially when these extra holes aren't shown in the photos above. It would also have been appreciated if Fender would have sent two extra two screws, but oh well. The pickguard is still functional and looks great!
