I don't know how Fender can call this Tortoise Shell. It looks black with a few lighter colored scratches unless there is a bright light shining directly on it. The price for this piece of plastic is ridiculous as it is, especially so when the color isn't even remotely close.

Great upgrade to the white single ply factory pickguard that came on the EJ hollow body Strat that I used to build my partscaster. Can't go wrong with factory parts, in my opinion. I also got a Fender Channel Bound neck for it from Sweetwater. Made for a fantastic Strat that looks and plays SO good. Thanks again to Geoff and the team at Sweetwater for all the help during this build!

Bought this to swap on to a sunburst ej signature strat, and it popped right in. 5/5 no complaints.
