Perfect Fit for Yamaha JR1
The fit was spot on. I wanted to get pictures of installing but my Dad just installed them really quick while I finished up some paperwork in the office. I think it even sounds better now. Everything looks exactly the same but beware though, the set I got has the string go into the top of the peg, not through the middle like the Yamaha tuners were. Look at the 'r" in Sweetwater… read more on the picture below, that's where the hole is. Think hipshot bass tuners on a P-Bass or vintage Fender tuners. You have to cut your string to length first (measuring past the peg on to the next peg then cutting off there leaving that much slack) then stick the string into the hole on top, bend it downward thru the (fork) and start winding. Awesome tuners!
Perfect replacement for my Rickenbacker 325. Thank you Sweetwater!
Great tuners
Used these to stop neck dive issues and increase tuning stability. Easy install and classic look. Can't go wrong with Grovers.
Grovers are the best!
Solved the only problem part on an otherwise expensive acoustic guitar that came stock with terrible tuners. I can now accurately tune up in about a quarter of the time it used to take. I've been using Grover since the 80's and they are always great. Perfect fit in existing holes, classic look, split shaft makes string changing quick and easy. Highly recommended!
Easy Epi upgrade
I installed these in my 2015 Epiphone SG Special and was able to use the factory bushings, but had to drill new mounting holes. The new tuners nearly covered up all the existing holes. I never really had any trouble with my factory tuners. It was just time for a change. Also you should note that these are VINTAGE style tuners so they string up differently. These are certainly an… read more attractive and quality addition to a budget guitar. And as always,Sweetwater can't be beat!
