Smooth as butter

The stock tuners on my Breedlove got really rough after a year of working great, and I thought it was because it was on a stand in the living room when a fire broke out, and the guitar was in an 800F degree room for 10 or so minutes. I ordered the same ones from Breedlive, and half of them were almost as bad! I ordered these from Sweetwater, and they're smooth as buttered pig… read more snot. The anti-torsion screw location was a bit different, so I had to drill new pilot holes, and the buttons are a bit smaller, but they're replaceable if I find that irritating down the road. The only downside to buying online is that it's hard to directly compare things like that without one in your hand, but I was confident because Sweetwater's return policy is so forgiving.

Grover 205c

Always been a Grover fan since I put a set on a nice Alvarez ...over 30 years ago....I've installed Grover tuning machines on my Washburn solid body...205c6...it now stays in tune...also put a set of 3x3 Grover's on a lower end but nice Epiphone.....I have a Dean....came with 3x3 Grover's. ....now I put 2 sets of 205c Grover's on my new 12 string Acoustic.... Love Grovers!

I've always been a fan of Grover Tuners and needed to replace the old cheap tuners on my Applause AA13 3/4 size travel guitar. They fit perfectly with no alteration or fuss and work smoothly and look great. I would have preferred a higher gear ratio, but for a small portable guitar I won't complain. Very nice, easy upgrade.

Good stuff

My wife bought me two sets of these as my mid-80s Alvarez 12-string acoustics tuning machines were shot. When first installing them, I thought they weren't going to work, as the screw hole on the back didn't align properly. I found that if I angled the tuner up, it fit perfectly.(Plus everyone says it looks cool.) I had the old tuners out and the new ones in in less than 10 minutes.… read more The guitar sat in my closet while I went on vacation for two weeks. I love Sweetwater
