Great slide
I had a thin glass slide. This one is way heavier and more comfortable. I think the sizing runs a little large--I bought a large for my 10.5 ring finger, and the slide has plenty of room on my middle finger. I wouldn't have tried that on purpose, but I think I like it. Also, it's solid enough that I don't worry that the kids will break it, at least not on accident.
Very Nice
Seeing that this is my first slide and I'm a beginning slide player, there are a lot of factors to consider. At first note, this is a heavy walled slide. Feels very nice on the strings as well on the finger. The biggest factor I can see is the fit to one's finger. I don't know if there is a size chart or how one buys such an item without trying it on but I got lucky and picked the… read more large. I have no idea of the differences between metal slides, glass slides or wall thicknesses. I do however like the feel of this slide and see its a quality product and as advertised. The only reason I subtracted 1/2 point on grading this particular item is that I don't know what a quality slide consists of. Not only that but feel liking any certain type of slide is personal preference.
My go to slide for years
I have been using Pyrex slides for year until I was turned on to the blues bottle and porcelain but anyway, if it ain't broke don't fix it! My first slide was a Thin walled glass slide and I used it till it rattled off my amp. I've went they a few but I still have one so I wanted a heavy walled one and I have to say these are the Bees Knees! Much fatter sound and more sustain! Check… read more one out they are killer!
