Wanted to like it, had always thought I would
I returned this slide. I saw these things used several times over the years and thought "man what a great idea". In theory it could be a great thing, but the slide is way too big heavy and cumbersome. Maybe if you have the hands of an nba player/lumberjack. They give you different plastic pieces to make the finger hole bigger or smaller. This is a good idea but it doesn't help… read more any with the massive unwieldy size and nature of this crude instrument. TWO THUMBS DOWN.
Great idea, great slide.
In all my years of playing guitar I’ve never tried to play slide so with 2020 fast approaching I decided to add it to the resolution list. I tried various slides and didn’t get along with any of them. They were either too small, I have rather large hands, and being a newbie I was having a difficult time transitioning from playing slide and back to regular chording. This neat… read more little guy did the trick. It comes with 4 different sizing rings and the slide turns on the finger ring, you just turn it with your feet hand thumb and you have access to your slide finger for solos and chords. Simply turn it back around and you’re in slide heaven. Made of brass so you definitely feel it on there. If you’ve ever wanted to give slide guitar a try I’d definitely try this before moving on to more expensive options.
