I was let down.

A ceramic slide (not porcelain) was the last kind of slide I didn't have, so I ordered this one. I hoped it would be comparable in tone and feel to my porcelain slide. The cobalt blue glaze finish is lovely and the slide has a nice weight on the finger however the unfinished ceramic surface on the inside doesn't feel great on my skin. I really don't like the feeling. More so, though, read more is that while the tone is alright, the noise it makes against the strings is terrible and loud. On electric it won't matter but on acoustic, which is how I typically play slide, it is pronounced and ruins what I'm playing. It would also make for a tough record date. I'm a pretty decent player and this has nothing to do with muting and slide technique. It's an inherent issue with the outer surface of the slide. It's a shame because it's really nice looking and I've enjoyed other products in the line.
