Awesome amp, classic Marshall sound, only thing I wish it had? Old spring reverb.

I bought this amp about 6 months ago in 2020. I thought i was buying a high gain amp, well its really not high gain. I was a little let down. I haven't owned a Marshall since the 1990's when i had 2 JCM 900 heads and they had more gain. If you want lots of gain buy a JVM. I mostly run this amp in half power mode which is 50 watt triode mode. Triode mode is warmer sounding read more to my ears. You can use the rhythm clip mode and will give you more gain but to me it's useless because it thins out the sound of the amp which is otherwise FAT... Im using this amp with a Universal Audio OX which is stellar by the way. I didn't like the tone at first but then i did a bias. The amp was set cold at 60.I looked online and a lot of people said 73 was a sweet spot and that is true. Being able to bias this amp without taking it apart is really sweet. The next thing I did was ad a range master treble booster and that really made this amp sound like a beast.. Things just opened up with the treble booster. My jaw actually hit the ground.Thats how good it sounds. In closing its a great amp, huge sound stage, punchy, articulate when setup right and with the treble booster. This amp is a great tone platform. Marshall has their sound and i missed it glad to be back. Im getting great tone In the studio. Thank you Sweetwater and Matt Brooks.!!!

I own 5 original 2555's and one 2555x and I can tell you the 2555x is an extremely close and well made remake. It's as close as you can get in modern times in my opinion. I would be happy with either an original or a reissue, they both do the job

Greatest Marshall ever made!

I own a few Marshalls (JCM 2000, JCM 900, JVM), but the Jubilee is by far the best one in my opinion that I own. I bought the 20 watt version of this amp a few years ago and gigged with it quite a bit and I still have. It was plenty loud enough for small and medium size venues and perfect for use in the studio. It does lack some headroom though in live use on the clean channel but read more I rarely used it anyway. When I saw that Sweetwater was once again carrying the 100 watt version of this beast, I had to have it. Some of my favorite players have used this amp (Slash, Joe Bonamassa, John Frusciante) and these players have totally different styles and tones which show the versatility of this amp. If you like the quintessential Marshall tone and the simplicity of a two channel amp, this is the amp for you. Also, as usual, Sweetwater's customer service was awesome! I have bought quite a bit of gear from these guys and it's always a pleasure dealing with them.

Duh, it's a Silver Jubilee of course its great!

Purchased this amplifier after 16 years of wanting one (an original jubilee I wanted for that long) prices were through the roof so I came to grips that I would never own one until...I heard about 4 months ago that Marshall finally made a reissue of the Jubilee and that it had also been out for 5 years already!. Upon the shock of hearing that I figured this may be my only chance read more to ever own a brand new Jubilee with a warranty so I called the guys up at Sweetwater and they hooked me up very fast with a 2555x 100 watt Beauty! Love the tones they're everything I've dreamed of and more! Amp is also a total power house of a rock & roll machine, easily puts my guitarists Randall V2 to shame in the mix and in bragging rights.
