I started out using GHS Bass Boomers and gradually transitioned to steel strings. I've tried DR, EB, GHS, and D'Addario and I always go back to Dean Markley Blue Steels! They are bright and have a feel to them that other strings do not. I feel my tone cuts through the mix so much more using these strings! These are the only strings I use on my Spector basses! Every now and then I will try a different brand or type, but have always came back to "Dean Markley 2674 Blue Steel Bass Guitar Strings". They keep tonal quality for an amazing long time, even after long sweaty shows, the next rehearsal they still sound like new! Great brilliant brite sounding with amazing durability!

Ive been playing bass for 20 years as a profession, and these are by far the best strings ive ever used, so much so that my local music store used to charge $60.00 a set and i would pay it every time. i know better now, and sweetwater keeps them in stock so thats where i buy em from, i love these strings!!!! Also dean markley guys ya ever wanna do a sponsorship hit me up lol.
