They sound exactly as I wanted
The best flatwound strings for fretless bass that I have ever used. Thank you to my Sales Engineer,Matt Christpherson, for the outstanding recommendation. They sound exactly as I wanted them to sound.
Easy on the fingers!
Got a nice ring to them and easy on the fingers.Large flatwound strings are obsolete to me now.Im playing a 2001 Dean through neck with active pickups.Sounds great slapping or smooth. The lighter gauge put the strings slightly closer to the neck, that little extra I've been needing
Finally found my forever strings!!!
I've been playing bass for a little over 3 years and I've tried just about every type of string out there. I've always liked flats due to the texture of the strings but I didn't like how soft and warm they sound. These babies are smooth as butter and (almost) as bright and zingy as rounds.
EB Extra slinky flat wound 95.........40
Nice tone flat wound string. very soft feel. I use on short scale basses no problem at all.
Bad to the bone!
Being an Elixir guy for years, I wanted to experiment with flats for a change in routine. Tried the D'Adarrio Chromes and hated the gummy feel they had. Went back to Elixirs for a short time. I read great reviews on these Cobalt Flats so I decided to give them a try. Have only played 1 gig with them, but WOW! Nice and smooth, no gummy feel, and they're a cross between flats and… read more rounds. Nice punch and attack! The only thing I worry about is that a cpl people had one break on them, but we'll see. Thanks to Joe Copenhaver for keeping me informed on delivery bc they were out of stock. He's awesome! Sweetwater rocks!!!
