Awesome strings!
My sales engineer, Taylor Perry, recommended that I try these strings on my brand new Fender American Elite 5-string Jazz Bass. They have a wonderful warm sound and are not as bright as some other nickel wrapped strings can be. However, they are more than capable of cutting through the mix of a band. They also feel amazing under my fingers and have not torn up my calluses after… read more 3 and 4 hour shows like my previous brand of strings could do at times. The only improvement for these strings would be for the B string to be a bit tighter in tension. It feels floppy compared to the G-D-A-E strings when playing. I have to be mindful to not pluck the B string as hard to avoid accidentally snapping the string when playing. If you are looking for a warmer bass sound without going into flatwound strings, these are well worth your time to try out.
