My wife got me this for my birthday!!! I was blown away!!! I have been very reluctant to purchase this especially after just buying the EB Majesty 7. I got to play through this at Sweetwater with my EB late last year. What a perfect combination it made! Aaron, you sneaky guy, worked with my wife and got this to me without me noticing it. What a surprise! Thanks Aaron for your… read more great customer service and also to my wife for the great gift. Now I just have to wrestle this beast down and show him who the boss is!!! Love it!!!

Lives up to the hype
I needed a replacement for my old Marshall that I have used for 25 years. Had been considering the 5150 III mostly because of the three individual channels. I took the gamble and ordered it. It arrived a day early, which was 2 days before I needed to use it on stage. I had very minimal time to test drive it to get all the levels set and configure my effects pedals and everything.… read more Maybe 2 hours total time before the show. The 5150 III outperformed my Marshall from the word go. This amp is LOUD but has incredible tone and warmth. With the three individual channels making quick changes on stage is a breeze! Whatever sound you are looking for you won't be dissapointed with this amp! My only regret is not buying it sooner!
The best amp on the market !!
I recently was introduced to this fine piece of guitar arsenal via my producer , and everything he told me about it was TRUE ! I couldnt be happier with the overal performance of the amp and user friendliness of it as well. This is my first purchse via Sweetwater and the red carpet service i was given by my rep Mark Chapman was like no other. I will forever be coming back to Sweetwater… read more for all my gear needs and will never go anywhere else. Thank you for everything Sweetwater !!
5150 III: by a gigging musician
The new 5150 III is by far the best amp built today for rock, metal, and any genre requiring a great-sounding and very well built quality amplifier! Channel one is a very clean, balanced, and LOUD channel. But it also has enough gain for getting a very creamy vintage lead. Channel two is a great all around rock, crunch, or rhythm channel. Enough gain for anything Eddie! Channel… read more three is an all out, over the top modern gain channel. But be careful with your midrange control, it can get very aggressive on higher settings. Channel three is also a great all around thrash, speed, djent, progressive, and all things gain channel. One thing that most people don't consider when purchasing an amp is how well it works with a switching system. The included footswitch is fantastic! All you do is step on the channel you want. Period. You can even turn off the effects loop from the footswitch. And above all, no pops, crackles, or noise of any kind. Haven't had a chance to try out the effects loop or preamp out yet, but they seem to be very user friendly. Last but not least, the help I received from JR was top-notch. Free shipping and handling, a free speaker cable, and $100 off just because makes me want to keep buying from Sweetwater! Great products, great service, and great prices! What more could you ask for?
