Deep Talkin' Happy
I bought a Michael Kelly fretless acoustic, but I wasn't happy with the standard issue strings, (D'Addario Round wounds). I love D'Addarios strings. I love round wounds, but the gauge just seemed a little too light for this instrument. I talked on the phone to the man that I'm going to call my new friend, Ian Haas, and he suggested these La Bella Deep Talkin' Bass Gold Flats,… read more (.045-.105). Changed the entire character of my "Campfire Bass." It has a much more solid sound and greater depth of tone. I can dig in a little deeper without creating excessive buzz. improved the plugged in sound, too. Besides that, they look cool. I would never have known about these strings without the direction I got from Ian Haas. Thanks, man, for your knowledge, expertise and great service. Hope your boss reads this. You deserve the credit.

Great sounding strings!
Best Strings ever
I added these to my Ibanez 5 string bass. Krispy sound, great bottom end.
My first strings
I love the way these flat wound gold strings look. As for the sounds. As a noob, I can't compare the sound to any other steering, but I *CAN* say that the smooth surface is very easy in my tender fingertips while practicing slides. The original round-wound strings were very hard on my soft, noob fingertips.
Gold flats
these strings are outstanding they smooth an keep there tone simple wipe downs after playing they stay looking new. Don't make the mistake i made an let one of your drinking friends play the guitar the alcoholic sweat from their drinking will tarnish your strings. i find.
