IMHO The absolute best strings that a guy or gal could ever put on a Bass VI, Period. They really did an awesome job in engineering the strings to fit on these instruments. Tone did change just a tad but, for me , in a good way. Fast shipping, Great experience all the way.

Finally got these flat wound strings installed on my Squire Bass VI. Part of the installation was setting the bass guitar to my liking. I do my own setups. It takes a lot of effort, but I'm quite patient and careful. The guitar obviously came with regular round-wound strings and the factory setup was so high that pressing the strings caused unwanted pitch intonation. After setting… read more the truss rod, the bridge and nut to my liking, these flatwound strings, as expected, made fretting so easy and smooth. Not much treble, which is what I like. I play the church choir so my playing is quite conservative and mellow. The upgrade to this heavier gauge gives me the sound I was looking for with this guitar. I think it's a great combination. Oh, after stabilizing the 'wonky' rocking bridge, intonation has not been an issue. These strings sound great!!! I'll have to buy another set soon. Thank you, Sweetwater, for having these strings available.

I've been switching all my basses over to flatwounds ( I prefer the sound/playability) so I naturally had to do the same with my Squier Bass VI..couldnt be happier...they sound great. Thanks again
